The project was announced at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16, 2022. Remake of Emmanuelle (1974). The good: beautiful locations, often great cinematography, and the film mostly has a great atmosphere (reminded me a bit of Lost in Translation). I’d give it a 7/10 for its style alone. The rest are pretty bad though. No character depth or development, pointless and often unintentionally funny dialogue that makes the supposed erotic scenes rather dull And also: hardly any story If you’re looking for a stylishly made movie with no substance that gives you a good laugh every now and then because of its ridiculous dialogue and logic, so at least you’ll be entertained. But from an overall perspective, I can’t give it more than a 4/10.
