Set in the utopian Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two legendary League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart. Check out the actors behind some of your favorite cartoons and series, including Ella Purnell in “Arkan.” Fortiche Productions made a music video called “Get Jinxed” for Riot in 2013. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took them several years to complete.

Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters who grow up in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover and get into trouble. The series is based on the video game League of Legends. And even though it drops you right into this fictional world, the necessary time and care is spent building up locations and characters in a commendable show-don’t-tell manner.
The animation is simply exquisite
Solid character development and world-building make it an all-around entertaining watch even if you know nothing about the game. As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be leagues better than anything I’ve ever seen in an animated series before. There’s an incredible attention to detail.
Great soundtrack, great acting and a gripping story that doesn’t compromise on violence and adult themes
It’s clear that no artistic talent or financial expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life. Only the first three episodes have been released so far and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!.
