I saw this film last night in a blind preview at our local theater complex

I probably wouldn’t have opted to see it if I had known what it was, but I’m glad I did. The moving and honest portrayals of some of the show’s participants (especially Clarence Maclin and Sean Johnson) and the work of Colman Domingo are its strengths.

The cinematography and direction enhance the sincerity of the performances by not overpowering them and taking an approach that, as the viewer, witnesses the conversations and events rather than consumes them

Thought-provoking. Understated.

Not perfect, but very well done
