Remake of Day of the Jackal (1973)
Yes, it’s a reboot, but they made it a great first. Redmayne is fantastic as the cold jackal killer! Excellent scenery in some beautiful parts of Europe.
It keeps you intrigued throughout
The only detractor is the lead MI6 agent who is bland and unimaginative. Since it’s one of my favorite books, I was skeptical about another remake after the train wreck that was Bruce Willis’ move. However, Day of the Jackal grabbed my attention from the start and held it for the first five episodes.
All in all, a very entertaining series
Hopefully the rest of the season lives up to the first half. The new season of "Silos" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our November calendar for more!
