Need a lawyer? He runs his law firm out of his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. He moves around Los Angeles taking on cases while also juggling a personal life that includes fatherhood and two ex-wives. Originally planned for a series commitment in 2020 by CBS, but it was canceled due to COVID shortly before the first episode began filming. This has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on the second Mickey Haller book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms on them.

Personalized plates with a maximum of seven letters/numbers are allowed in California, but all of Mickey’s plates have a minimum of eight. The Lincoln Lawyer Netflix adapted a novel called “The Brass Verdict” into a television show. The film stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton from How I Met Your Mother, Neve Campbell from the Scream series, Christopher Gorham, Angus Sampson from the Insidious series, Jazz Raycole, and Lana Parrilla from Once Upon a Time. In 2006, Michael Connelly released his first of six books based on Mickey Haller. In 2011, Connelly’s first book, The Lincoln Lawyer, is made into a movie.

This is based on the second book in the series, known as The Brass Verdict. After another lawyer mysteriously dies, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) inherits all of his unfinished cases. Not only does he have to learn his cases, but he also begins to investigate the sudden death of his colleague while trying to repair his relationships in his personal life. It’s not hard to see why The Lincoln Lawyer is so popular on Netflix. All the storylines and likable characters make the series compelling to watch.
She is a great supporting character
Rulfo is charming and likable as Haller. He makes both the audience and the court laugh with his one-liners. Having previously had problems with substance abuse, he has compassion for other people in similar situations, which is why he hires Izzy Letts (Jazz Raycole) as his driver. They care about each other and hold each other accountable to make sure they both stay on the right path. Gorham does a good job portraying Trevor Elliott, a billionaire who plays the victim of his wife’s murder.
The diverse storylines generate interest in the series
Newton plays the positive and caring Lorna Crane, she is Haller’s secretary and friend. In addition to all the people who support Haller, he hires a private investigator named Cisco. Sampson works well with the team to ensure Haller’s success. Most episodes feature a smaller case that Haller must win, but there is also a major case that he must solve along with other plot points. My bottom line for The Lincoln Lawyer is that if you like legal dramas, you will enjoy this show.
