Description

Students who have taken our previous courses know that we like to delve into all the technologies we work on, so to meet this need we have developed courses in large series, and this series of courses helps students not only understand the technology in themselves, but also implement it with confidence in your company to prepare and pass the interview and update your skills.

This SQL series consists of 3 courses that include over 30 hours of intensive training. These courses are as follows:

Course 11: SQL Server 2019 on Windows Server 2019 and Failover Clustering.

Course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux and Azure.

Course 13: Administering SQL Server 2019.

Course outline:

Before we check the course outline, we want to add a very important note: The network and infrastructure used in this course was created in our Course 1: Define Windows Server 2019 Network – Microsoft Series, where we created a virtual environment for all the courses we have developed so far.

Why did we do it?

Simply because we don’t want to waste your time creating the source virtual machine, network adapters, router and other infrastructure over and over again. We want to provide you with REAL-TIME industry experience by integrating various technologies in a BIG NETWORK that will allow students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem solving.

Now let’s discuss the course outline in detail.

This SQL Fundamentals course for beginners includes theory and LABS.

This course is divided into 4 segments:

Segment 1: Prepare your network to install SQL SERVER 2019 on Windows Server 2019

From Sections 1 to 4, you will learn about

– New features in SQL Server 2019

– Understanding the prerequisites for installing SQL Server 2019 on an existing network that we created together in Course 1: Defining a Windows Server 2019 Network – Microsoft Series

– Standalone installation of SQL Server 2019 Instance 1, SQL Server Management Studio 18

– Perform remote access and create snapshots.

Segment 2: Organize background information by additional topics

From Sections 5 to 9, this segment will teach you the basics of a database. As an administrator, you need to understand all terminology related to databases for better product administration. We will learn the basic concepts of the following topics:

Module 1: “Introduction to Databases” presents key database concepts in the context of SQL Server 2019.

Module 2: “Data Modeling” describes a range of data modeling techniques.

Module 3: “Normalization” introduces the concept of normalization and describes normalization and denormalization techniques.

Module 4: “Relationships” describes the different types of relationships and their implications for database design.

Module 5: “Performance” describes the impact of database design on performance.

Module 6: “Database Objects” introduces commonly used database objects.

**Expect to have some theories that can be a little boring

Segment 3: Let’s get hands-on with lots and lots of GOOD

Segment 10 is very interesting because we have prepared a GOOD (project) for you to practice all the concepts we learned together in segment 2.

Segment 4: SQL Server 2019 Failover Clustering

Starting with Section 11, we will do the following GOOD

A- Create domain service accounts

B- Install 1st instance of SQL Server 2019 failover cluster

C Install the 2nd SQL Server 2019 failover cluster instance

D Check the reliability of the SQL Server 2019 failover cluster.

E- Migrate a database from a single SQL Server 2019 to a SQL Server 2019 failover cluster for high availability.

After completing this course, you will be prepared and ready to take the next course, Year 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux and Azure.
